Update: 12/6/2004
Once again its that time of year, time for the third RedBull Programming Competition. Like last year the place and time will remain the same. The competition will start on Friday, January 21 when the objectives will be given out at 6:30pm on the third floor of Building 70.

As with last years competition there is no limitation on language, process, or structure. There is a team of judges who will remain impartial (no bribes please) which will score projects in the same manor, creativity, implementation, and presentation. Likewise there is only enough room for 50 people to compete, so we remain on a first come, first serve basis.
Update: 4/15/04
Due to popular demand, CSH is holding a second programming competition for the 2003/4 school year. Many of the same rules apply, but this competition is not sponsored in any way. Objectives will now be chosen by the teams at the start of the competition, and they must work on only that objective throughout the night. Only one project will be accepted for submission, and while you can change projects in the middle, the work on the previous objective will not count in your score.
Update: 10/8/03
The Lone Coder forum is now available to help individuals who want to participate get into teams. Registration will allow you to see other folks looking to participate, but who have not entered with a team yet. When a team consists of at least 3 people, submit the Entry Form.
The second CSH programming competition will be hosted December 12, 2003, with an awards ceremony on December 15th. The event is a competition for teams of 3 to 5 people that will take place over 12 hours. Application and involvement is free of charge.

Participating teams will choose between objectives revealed to them at 6:00 on the 12th in the CS building, and the competition will begin at 7:00 PM and end at 7:00 AM the next morning.

Teams will be provided with food and drink throughout the night. There are no limitations placed on the language, environment, or structure of the programs produced.

Judging will be conducted by impartial judges, and will be scored on creativity, implementation of the objective, and overall presentation. The theme for this year's competition will be announced one month prior to the event. Participation in the event is limited to 50 individuals (not teams), and teams will be accomodated on a first come, first serve basis.
